On the Road Again

but this time, the road was memory lane...

I have been working diligently at emptying old photo albums and weeding out and labelling the photos I want to save. 

Today I hit the motherlode of memories ....1991 - a year of many travels, some to neat places related to my job - New Orleans, Santa Fe, Taos, Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, and some trips on my own; it was the year I hiked the Grand Canyon down to Phantom Ranch in February and also the year I took a solo multi-week camping trip in the summer across the American West -  a variation form my usual southwest adventures - this time, it was Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota... pitching my tent in as many  National Parks and Monuments as I could  - Wind Cave, Badlands, Yellowstone and Watertown/Glacier being the most memorable. 

What a year! So much to look back on and so much to be grateful for... youth, fitness, and flexible time.
