'Early Morning View'

No 'April Fool' from me today. 

I can't help feeling that April Fools Day has been totally devalued in recent months., We are drowning in what look like April Fools every day - only to find that actually they aren't! Oh Dear!

But the first day of April did see me up an hour earlier for my jog around the park. It was a gorgeous morning, and the sun was not long up. When I reached the almost empty park just before 7.30, a light haze was quickly dispersing, and there was only the gentlest breeze. (Extra)

A bit later, this group - along with their dogs - had appeared, enjoying the view of the very still Inverleith Pond and across the New Town toward Arthur's Seat and Edinburgh Castle on the skyline from one of the best park benches in the entire city!

A fine start to April and a fine start to the day!
