Thunder approaching

This isn't the image I wanted to post, but my photos aren't syncing right now. It does show the Tidal Basin, which William and I visited this evening to see the end of the cherry blossoms. We drove to East Falls Church and metroed in to the Smithsonian stop. You can kind of see faded pink across the water. With the blooms almost past, and rain looming, it wasn't as crowded as other times we've been. And there was a pleasant, pre-storm breeze. Lots of folks dressed up for their selfies or family pics.

Spent all afternoon sanding the metal railings that will be reinstalled on our front steps. Glad that's a job that (hopefully) won't need doing again anytime soon.
