Dolly's Day

FACES

Since being told by the roofer who came to sort out my gutters that he wasn't able to do them I hadn't got round to contacting anyone else.  However Alyson who goes to my slimming group recommended the roofer who is doing some work for her at the moment so I got in touch with him and he came round this afternoon.  I explained the problems ... and hes going to come back tomorrow and get up on the roof to take a look, get some photos/videos and give me a quote.

After he had left I walked down to the village.  Had a bag of stuff for the Barnardos charity shop... but it was closed.  I noticed it was closed on Friday too.  Hopefully it will open again and it hasn't closed for good. We don't want any more empty shops in the village.  Luckily there is another charity shop in the village so I took my stuff there.  Then I walked along to the Convenience Store to pick up two parcels.

The weather was so nice I decided to pop across to the Hermitage Community Garden for a wander around.  I had the place to myself.  Lots of lovely Spring flowers in bloom and it was very peaceful.  They have a lot of statues and ornaments in the garden so I decided to use three of them for my blip.... the Mono Monday theme is " weird and wonderful".  Thanks to gillyh and LesleyAlsford for hosting.

Next I went to Herons and Tesco for food shopping and then had a slow wander home through the allotments.  .

Caught up with some TV viewing when I got home and enjoyed a cup of coffee and a Slimming World chocolate bar.  Back on plan after lots of Mother's day treats.
