FLORAL BIRTHDAY CAKE

The center of this Gerbera Daisy reminds me of a birthday cake topping – yellow candles popping out of pink curly ribbons, with a center of shaved white chocolate and lit sparklers around the outside edge! (Please check 'large' - the detail really shows.) This is the third time I’ve posted flowers from this beautiful plant since it was new in May. It sure has been a bright spot on the deck - until now it always had eight or nine blossoms in various shades of pink, but it seems to be down to the final four since I don’t see any new buds coming up. (Nice to have as a backup blip when time is short!) :-)
