Motorbike
The roads were finally dry enough - and the weather warm enough - for me to go and get the bike back after it’s MOT. It’d also had a bit of a service. Despite the bike now being 6 years old, it’s covered less than 3,000 miles, so there was little to be done other than a precautionary oil and filter change as well as checking and lubricating anything obvious. We did decide to change the brake fluid as well, because it wasn’t apparent from the service book that it had ever been done.
I didn’t get a stamp in the service book because the next available space was for the 30,000 mile service! Unless I do a phenomenal mileage over the next couple of years, it’s probably easier just to keep the service receipts with the book so any subsequent owner can see what has been done.
Not that I’m planning on parting with it anytime soon. As long as I can still sling my leg over, I will carry on riding. And probably on this bike, as I’m yet to find anything that I’d change it for. Still fancy restoring an older bike one day, but that would be as an extra, not a replacement.
All we need now is a bit of decent weather so I can get my motor running and head out on the highway…
