Mother

Went down to Chester to see mum on Mothers Day. Although she was out of bed, and had eaten her breakfast, she was very withdrawn and barely spoke a word. She knew who I was and managed a couple of the chocolates I’d brought her, but didn’t respond to anything else. I’m back down on Thursday so will see if today was just a bad day or if this is just how she is now.
Not fair to take a picture of her, and the days of going out for lunch are long past. So my blip today is of the retail park where we went for a bite to eat before heading home. Despite the “plethora” of choice, we opted for the slightly healthier (?) option of a chicken wrap and cup of tea each from Maccies. Quick whizz round the shops and then back up the M6 to Kendal. Traffic in both directions was pretty good today, though there were obviously more cars on the road, thanks to the nice weather (warm and sunny) and people like us travelling to see their mothers.
And I think all the timepieces in the house are now showing the same (correct - BST) time. Bound to be one I’ve missed though…
