River of Flowers

Monday: Gardening for Wildlife

Early morning 4 monthly appointment at the hospital, managed to avoid all the queues and we were back home within the hour.

Our builder friend had been here to lay the new foundation for the section of wall which had been removed yesterday.

I had a few hours of lounging around reading my current book which was Blip subject on Saturday.

The dry weather and sunshine have dried the plant pots out, did some watering :-)

Today’s Blips: top left is the tiny flower of a small gooseberry bush in a tub opposite kitchen window, I hadn’t realised there were flowers until a very small bumblebee was feeding from the flowers.
Top right is a Dandelion plant which is very early and has a good supply of nectar and pollen for the bees and will later have a seed head  - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2840331836855419068 - which the goldfinch and other garden birds will feed on!
Along the bottom, assorted self-sown primroses also valuable to our garden wildlife.

Started watching “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” on Channel 5  - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Madame_Blanc_Mysteries
