Was very pleased to see some asparagus snoots emerging from the soil - D had done major works on the bed which included having to move some of the roots (not advisable, normally) so he was quite anxious about them.

In the afternoon popped over to the Custom House gallery to see Andy Keir's paintings of Leith - very familiar scenes, of course, and some very nice work. Good to see that he'd sold most of them.

Visited the swan's nest by the swing bridge; missus snoozing on the eggs (not sure of latest count) and mr patrolling the basin.

It was a beautiful, sunny day, btw!
