Mothering Sunday.
A beautifully bright and breezy day. The wind made the temperatures remain a tad nippy but it really has been gorgeous.
After a morning cuppa enjoyed on the balcony of the flat in Cononley, Mum and I walked from there to Skipton. We took the back road which offers wonderful views and is always a pleasure.
A sandwich picnic in the Skipton sun trap and a little meander around the shops before getting the train back to Cononley.
Back at Mum and Dad's now where I've painted my nails, a shimmery pinked named Divinity, and I'll be heading back to mine shortly.
Mother's Day is one of those bittersweet days I always think. I'm so lucky to have my Mum by my side and always at the other end of the phone. However, I know for some it's day of grief; mourning for a mother lost, a child lost or never had...and so many different reasons. A big hug to everybody who needs it today.
