The party next door didn’t disturb us unduly and we went to bed at the usual time, and slept right through the new waking up time without any difficulty at all.

This afternoon we’ve been over to our son’s for a late lunch/afternoon tea.  All very enjoyable.

The Chaenomeles Japonica is just coming into flower.
