On the move
JJ has gone to golf with Liam, which left me free to wander where my feet took me, which was across the fields and along the old railway line, all the while looking for birds. Big lens on the EM1 and macro on the OM-1 in my backpack.
The skylarks were up too high, the yellowhammers spotted me before I saw them but I did see this chiffchaff on a branch and got a few shots before it decided to fly off.
Not many people out and about and although it was a beautiful blue sky there was a definite chill in the strong breeze. I missed the partial eclipse.
Two of our close friends had been at the Albert Hall the other evening and after the concert Len was just hailing a taxi when his hand collided with a passing cyclist, resulting in a badly broken index finger and cuts and bruises. The cyclist was fine and rode away.
Our new neighbours are having a party with disco for their daughter's eighteenth birthday tonight. There will also be a dessert van turning up at around 9 p.m. and they have apologised in advance for the noise. AND we lose an hour's sleep with the clocks changing.
