Another flowery day
My visitors still here which makes for a lovely day, but also very much not my usual routines. While they were sleeping in, I planted out the two pretty things that tempted me at the National Trust shop on Thursday. A wallflower and an aubretia above. My dad would have disapproved of buying plants while they are in flower, but I think it’s a sign of our instant garden desire now, probably arising from various TV programmes where a patch is turned from weeds to Kew Gardens over a weekend:) Anyhow, there they are, both planted out and instantly looking wonderful. The magnolia stellata and the ? shrub with a bee are in neighbours front gardens, spotted when I went to the corner shop for extra supplies.
Later in the afternoon I went to my neighbour’s second birthday party. It was very lovely. I’ve put an extra, he couldn’t work out how to blow out his candles at first:)
