Ymweld â ffrindiau ym Mryste ~ Visiting friends in Bristol

“Spending your time with true spiritual friends will fill you with love for all beings and help you to see how negative attachment and hatred are. Being with such friends, and following their example, will naturally imbue you with their good qualities, just as all the birds flying around a golden mountain are bathed in its golden radiance.”
― Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Heddiw aethon ni ar y trên i wlad estron - Lloegr - i ymweld â ffrindiau. Roedd siwrne hawdd i Bristol Temple Meads ac yna ymlaen at Sea Mills. Doeddwn i erioed wedi clywed am 'Sea Mills' o'r blaen. Mae'n lle bach yn yr ardal Shirehampton ym Mryste.

Mae ein ffrindiau yn fyw ar ystâd ddiddorol. Cafodd e ei adeiladu heb leoedd parcio am bob tŷ. Yn lle Mae maes parcio yn rhannu rhwng y preswylwyr. Mae'n golygu bod does dim ceir ger y tai, felly maen mae'r tai yn dawel ac mae'r ardal yn ddiogel.

Mwynheuon ni ein hamser yn Sea Mills. Gwnaethon ni rhannu pryd blasus iawn (delicious) cyn mynd i weld eu rhandir. Maen nhw'n tyfu llawer o lysiau yna. Yna aethon ni am faith cerdded ger yr afon Avon. Mae'n lle hyfryd a tawel.

Yna yn fuan roedd amser i ni dal trenau adre. Roedd y tywydd ym Mryste wedi bod yn llachar, ond yng Nghaerdydd roedd hi'n oer a gwlyb. Hefyd roedd wedi bod gêm rygbi yn y dre a does dim bysiau yn rhedeg o'r orsaf. Felly roedd rhaid i ni gerdded y tu allan o'r ganol y dre i ffeindio bws. Roedd diwedd llaith i'r diwrnod, ond roedden ni'n mwynhau ffeindio bws amgen i fynd adre.

Today we went by train to a foreign country - England - to visit friends. It was an easy journey to Bristol Temple Meads and then on to Sea Mills. I had never heard of 'Sea Mills' before. It is a small place in the Shirehampton area of Bristol.

Our friends live on an interesting estate. It was built without parking spaces for each house. Instead A car park is shared between the residents. It means that there are no cars near the houses, so the houses are quiet and the area is safe.

We enjoyed our time at Sea Mills. We shared a delicious meal before going to see their allotment. They grow a lot of vegetables there. Then we went for a long walk by the river Avon. It is a lovely and quiet place.

Then soon it was time for us to catch trains home. The weather in Bristol had been bright, but in Cardiff it was cold and wet. Also there had been a rugby match in town and there are no buses running from the station. So we had to walk outside the town center to find a bus. It was a damp end to the day, but we enjoyed finding an alternative bus to go home.
