A Very, Very Old Friend

This fossil fish is not a 'find' by me, I'm afraid. I bought it. So I have no details of species, date, base rock (shale, I guess) or provenance.

But I still find it lovely and exciting to look at.

I took the shot in the simplest way possibly, in available light from the windows at 8.20 pm, with my macro lens.
