Saturday: River Ouse

It’s been a short, but very lovely, trip to York.  

After breakfast we took a slow stroll though town and to the station where we said our goodbyes to Cousin G and S.  Our trains left within five minutes of each other - our journey to London was nice and quiet but theirs to Newcastle was apparently awful as the train was so crowded with people heading up to the see the parade following Newcastle’s recent football victory.

We were home by mid-afternoon.  We believe Barney was delighted to see us but who can tell?
