Daffodil Time
To Sainsbury’s early for the main shop, and also to buy some flowers for tomorrow. I made the mistake of getting a pack of four hot cross buns. As I write this on Saturday evening, they’ve all been scoffed. By me. Fail.
Once home, I walked across the park to Christine and David’s with the bunches of daffodils which Alison and I had bought yesterday (my blip for today). The bag was surprisingly heavy. Christine and David were making up the Mothering Sunday posies this afternoon ready to distribute at our church service tomorrow morning. They’ve also cut lots of daffodils from the churchyard at our Great Braxted church, which is closed until after Easter. It saves us having to buy too many and, as the Braxted churchyard is currently locked and unseen, the flowers there won’t go to waste. I shall put my posy on Mum and Dad’s grave after the service.
After lunch I booked a slot at the local recycling centre and got rid of some old and obsolete electrical equipment. As I’ve now got the new rotas from St Luke’s, I’ve also spent some time putting my reading and Acolyte duties into my desk and handbag diaries.
I’ve just gone round the house putting all the clocks and watches forward by an hour ready for the change to British Summer Time tonight. Not really looking forward to having an hour less in bed!
