Rebuilding

Flower Friday - Primula Vulgaris

I used the car as an office while the cleaners were in the house, and sat in it organising the next step in the bedroom refurbishment. I’ve now got a local electrician booked in who was recommended by a friend. He will move the power outlet along the wall so that the new fitted wardrobe won’t be in front of it. I also contacted the Wren bedroom designer about my tweak, and he emailed a new 3D render of how it will look - I’m really pleased with it.

I called in at ASDA on the way home to buy half a dozen bunches of daffodils. These are to make into posies which will be given out at church during the Mothering Sunday service this weekend. My friend Alison popped over after lunch to drop off her contribution of another five bunches. I showed her my jungle - er - garden so that she could see where I want the summerhouse to be built. There are abundant patches of pretty primulas growing all over the place, even in the grass where they have spread from the borders. The carvery we used to go to gave them to Mum and me in little pots every Mothering Sunday over the years, and Dad always planted them out. They join the daffodils he put in as a lovely memory of my parents every spring.
