What a mouthful.

We have always had grey squirrels in next door’s garden and visiting our bird feeders, but this morning was a first.
Never seen one with a mouthful of leaves.
From the fence it ran up the copper beech tree, and disappeared round the back, then quickly ran back down to gather another mouthful.
Presumably building a nest, called a drey.
Will have to go round to our neighbours to have a look.
Fascinating to watch and provided me with a blip for to day.
