This was an official first for me. In all of the 21 years I've lived in this house, I've NEVER had a turkey vulture sit on the deck railing and peer in through the kitchen window! 

I had just put daffodils on the counter. No idea why that might be of interest to a buzzard, but it may have been a spurious correlation.

It was most definitely a strange encounter of the very curious persuasion.

Anyway, the pictures I took are for crap, but at the moment, it seemed insanely funny to me, so here's a photo!

To be truthful, I think it was just hoping to snag some leftovers from Wednesday's lunch!
