A funny day
With both son and dil ‘working from home’ but working from my home:) One in the living room, and the other front upstairs. There was a spot partway up the stairs where I could hear them both at the same time, in meetings or video discussions. They were both in and out of the kitchen (where I was based) pretty often, for coffee or snacks, so a fair amount of time spent chatting, otherwise chores, and also trying to catch up with blip, where I’ve got very behind on commenting, though I’ve been keeping up with posting blips, just about….
I just got out once for a walk round the cemetery in the sun. I especially liked this twisty tree trunk. They went off late afternoon to meet up with their group of friends, about 20 altogether, some staying in an old chapel (Airbnb) just down the road. They expected to be back between 2 and 3, by which they meant quite early:-) They both said they’re too old for doing all night anymore.
For the Orkney film club, we watched a French film, The Crime is Mine (or Mon Crime). Terrific performances by the three female leads, especially Isabelle Huppert. But in general I felt it was style over substance. I seem to be in a groove of watching films that cover quite deep subjects….
