After a shower caught Meg and I out the skies cleared promising a beautiful evening. Home just after 5pm, I decided to heat up my pasta tea and catch the 530 train up the coast. I ate on the train, basking in the sunshine streaming through my window. Less than half an hour later I alighted at Morfa Mawddach, formerly Barmouth Junction before the line inland to Dolgellau and beyond was closed. From here there's a fantastic walk over the estuary using a footpath along the wooden railway bridge - extra pic. The views inland are spectacular, a view of Cader Idris from a different angle to usual in extra pics, taken as the incoming tide rushed under my feet below the bridge. Thirty minutes later I was in Barmouth and treated to a great sunset before catching the train home.
The rest of the day was a bit of admin and a helpful call from a Birmingham Solicitor, some time in the garden and a trip to Sue's to collect my scarf, left there yesterday. I helped in her garden for a few minutes alongside a couple of friends from singing before walking Meg .... into that rain shower!
A lovely day
