Four and a half hours so far at Telford services after the a red light temperature gauge halted our progress home. A leak in the cooling system. With Ruth, Meg, Bella and Timmy cat along for the ride it’s more than a little inconvenient. The RAC man arrived as I was typing. Probably 60% of the coolant was gone but despite an extensive search no leak was found. Nothing on diagnostics either. Three weeks after a major service, it’s a mystery.

A night in a travel hotel now and a daylight drive home in the morning.

Jamie also had a nightmare journey from Brighton on assorted trains. Sue kindly met him at Tywyn in my absence

There were other moments of crisis on what has been a day to forget but we’ve all survived and Ruth and I even managed a laugh about it when chatting to Sue. Tomorrow’s another day.
