Dogs Allowed!

I was at work today and it was a good shift, busy but not bedlam despite being payday for some work places.

Once again I came home via Tesco. I visited the bathroom first and unlike last week I beat the queue and was glad to find my trolley and its contents where I left them when I went back.

I managed to buy the painkillers I'd not had the energy to queue for last week and finally remembered that there was no butter left in the house while still in a store. I'd been shopping three times since running out, and butter slipped my mind every time!

There were three (possibly four) retired greyhounds in the entrance of Tesco, along with some volunteers from the charity that helps find homes for them. I contributed to their buckets and took a photo of a couple of the dogs. This one is Kermit! (More of a frog or possibly feline name, I'd have thought.) He'd tried to help himself to my butter before I took this!

They really are lovely gentle dogs, and would prefer not to have lots of exercise given the choice, despite having been canine athletes in their younger days! If I were to ever be in a position to own a dog, I'd seriously consider adopting one of these.

I love Friday afternoon/evening! I always feel slightly tired from work, and very chilled out! Weekend mode! Brian is visiting his mum and sister and I've done some reading and watched some YouTube videos. Later there's Super League rugby on TV.
