Brian’s back….

A damp start, but the ploughing was only wet on the top so Max managed to crack on and finish seeding the spring barley. He then got the 20 acres of spring oats done as well.
Brian from Border Livestock arrived in to collect me to go and look 25 heifers that are for sale at a nearby farm. Had a look , told him what I’m prepared to pay and we will see what happens.
When we got back here, ran the 23 heifers stirks round to the yard so he could get a look at them and take some photos for potential buyers. Again, will see what happens.
Spent the afternoon back spreading slurry . It’s a steep field I’m going to and thanks to the recent dry spell I managed up the brae face no bother.
The seeder finished, and I finished just as the rain started. For once we got lucky
Have started calving next door . Had to go and help wee brother bring in a cow that had calved a set of wee twins.
The extra shows what happens when the man on the seeder reverses into the parked slurry tanker. Have ordered a new part from Ireland , hopefully here soon……
