Feeding time at the zoo....

A day of two halves..
It was rain and snow at 6am and it continued to tip down all morning. Haven't been brave enough to check the rain guage but the fields are running in water .
Fed cattle then a hurried shift of bales and grain trailers out of a shed to make room for 25 ewes with twins from wee brother next door as he is in full lambing mode,all his sheds are full and can't put wee lambs out in this sh..weather.
So hauled them over here with the land rover and trailer. Thought when I sold the 600 X ewes from here last year that I was finished with this sort of thing,but obviously not. Now spending tonight shifting bales from another shed to make more room for the next emergency evacuation if the weather is still crap tomorrow.
All we need now are the outside cows to start calving and the chaos will be total !
