Mother’s Day approacheth

Popped into M&S for my tea and it was full of beautiful Mother’s Day flowers. It smelled lovely too.

It always reminds me how some stepmothers, who inevitably end up doing a lot of ‘mothering’ often get cut out of the loop in favour of the feckless lump who managed to pop them out but has done very little else for their offspring since.

It used to bother me - especially when I was expected to not only take them shopping to get presents & cards for the feckless lump, but pay for the privilege AND deliver kids and their bounty to the feckless lumps door.

Not that I’m bitter, lol. I learnt long ago to just buy my own and ensure there was plenty of gin in the cupboard!
