More Purple Flowers

It was more like a summer day than a spring one today - glorious blue sky and warm sunshine.

I found this solitary stem of purple flowers growing under a hedge outside someone’s garden!

At first I thought ‘bluebell’ - but it is way too early and I now think it is a hyacinth (of some sort). There were no other plants around it, so it really stood out.

I also spotted (!) some ladybirds on a fence post..one of them is extras today..a few moments before I took the shot,  the subject and another one had been procreating the next generation of insects :-)

Sheepy update - the field behind us now has at least four lambs…they appear to be two sets of twins as they spend most of their time huddled together in the long grass…I hope they get up and about soon.
