Life's a ....

Peach!!

I love these little flat peaches.. white fleshed and so sweet. I was looking online to find out their proper name..Wikipedia (the fountain of all knowledge and never to be disputed!!) calls them Saturn peaches.. but also says they are known as 'doughnut peach, paraguayo peach, pan tao peach, saucer peach, belly-up peach, UFO peach or hat peach'!!

I was also amused at the link to a BBC article headlined ' Doughnut Peaches Hit Shops'!! and can only imagine the stickiness of such an event..

Well it's Friday and and I am now winding up for a lovely relaxed weekend.. hope you all have a great one..and that the sun will shine. (off to eat a peach now)
