Wild violets

I knew this patch of wild violets was there and have been waiting for the flowers to open.   Yesterday as l walked over to get the paper l saw they had finally introduced themselves to the world.  They are such a deep rich purple, l can't comment on the perfume - if l got down to ground level l might not be able to get back up again and certainly not with any decorum!
