blossoming
I heard on the radio that today is the beginning of the cherry blossom (sakura) season in Tokyo. So I thought I would go out and photograph some of the blossom in our garden.
The main photo is from our ancient apricot tree - it has a heavenly scent and a few bees were buzzing around it. The extra is almond blossom. They are both very beautiful in their different ways.
At our garden talk the other day, Colin Crosbie told us about "Cherry Ingram", the man who saved Japan's cherry trees.
