Burdock Seedheads

I love these spiky seed heads of the burdock plant. The little ‘hooks’ on the end of the seeds ensure that they grip tight to any passing furry beast..or indeed a madwill with a fleece…I had to remove  load from my coat after brushing too close!!

Lots of new green leaves appearing in the hedgerows..mostly hawthorn at the moment.

Quite a pleasant morning for my walk .. and the sun came out around lunchtime.
