White Wood Violet

Hot on the heels of the vibrant purple dog violet that I blipped a few days ago - I have now found a patch (well three patches to be honest) of this white wood violet.

They are not violet in colour, nor are they in a wood…so the name is a bit of a mystery (to me anyway)..

Heavy rain here this morning…so I just had a short walk during a lull..At least these flowers were sheltered from the rain
