wash out / sun out

Market was a washout this morning in Nyons. It pissed it down! Chatted to Floris, Agnes and a few marketeers.

Took this pic during a particularly heavy downpour when all the stands were abandoned and everyone ducked under the arcade. I don't think I've ever seen Nyons market this empty!

Home for some a bit before heading to Mirabel to iron (FML) and to see the girlies who were coming over to stay the night. Had a relaxed dinner, chatted to the girls and then started reading them Roald Dahl's "Matilda". Total joy.

Sarah gave me a homemade necklace today. I was really touched. She's an amazingly kind and intelligent wee girl.
