The Legion clear their lines v Miami Sharks

I woke up at 4.30am and was awake for 90 minutes, then suddenly it was 8.00am. Jet lag I suppose.

We had a long walk from Encinitas to Solana Beach and back again, stopping for a coffee in Solana Beach and getting to Landon’s baseball game for 2.00pm.

Unfortunately, he was hit on the knee when he was catcher in the first innings and played no further part in the game. I think he was OK really. No serious damage.

This evening we went to see the San Diego Legion play Miami Sharks in a major league rugby match at the University of San Diego. A Christian university which has unparalleled facilities. The Legion ran out 31-12 winners and remain unbeaten this season.

An entertaining game, with good skills and plenty of physicality. Four of the five tries were scored at the end we were sitting.
