Saturday: Kale “Red Russian”
We were both up before 7 this morning, slowly woke up properly as the clouds started to break and we had a very nice day.
MrD decided on a motorbike ride into the mountains and had a very enjoyable time.
I pottered around in the garden and decided to repot my dwarf apple tree “Sunset Red” - it was in a square planter which held lots of water in the base and I didn’t think the tree was doing very well. It’s now in a tall pot with good drainage holes …
I put many of the small pots of plants onto saucers, we had a few hours of rain during last night but we need lots more because this month has been very dry, gardeners are never satisfied with the weather!!
Today’s Blip is of the first Kale in the garden to make flowers (or go to seed!) - I love vegetable flowers because there are quite a few bees around and they love these flowers :-))
ADDED LATER: started taking Statins today, which should help to reduce my blood pressure, have refused to take them for over a decade … I’ve given in now :-((
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
Nos da pawb / Goodnight all XXXX XXX XX
