Sharing the stage

After my walk this afternoon with Kuzey, a lovely female Staffordshire from the sanctuary, I walked around their building to where the shrub grows on which I've previously photographed a Bee beetle, a Malachite beetle and a hoverfly.

It was very hard again to choose an entry out of the 50 photos I took of various insects but I eventually decided to blip this one. I was on my ellbows and knees to be able to take the shot as it was a very short-stemmed Daisy and I must probably have looked really silly to everyone passing by.

Thank you very much for the kind comments and stars on yesterday's blip. Sadly the caterpillar in it has passed away during the night. I found it motionless in a tiny puddle of moisture on top of the cauliflower leaf that I'd given it yesterday so we'll never know what it would eventually have turned into. Much to my relief, according to a very knowledgeable person on a nature forum, the caterpillar most likely succumbed to an infection of some sort and not because of something I did wrong.
