Cherry bloom glory

These are early blossoms, earlier than the iconic Tidal Basin ones. They were on full display today under a blue sky. I will have to check tomorrow, though - it occurs to me while typing this that I didn't hear the big buzzing of bees that we can usually hear as soon as we open the door. 

Extra is a helicopter landing this morning while we were getting a patient ready for transport to GWU Hospital in the District (Washington, DC).
