Plant Life

My brother & SiL bought me a new plant when they came to stay last week, it was a joint birthday gift & thank you present for doing the paperwork for Mums estate.
I was happy to do the paperwork, it’s what I’m good at so I felt it was my contribution towards the smooth transition from one generation to the next. It’s strange being the “Old Aunt” at the family gatherings but that’s the nature of things.
L (my other SiL) has just celebrated her 80th birthday & she’s finding it hard to mentally come to terms with it, she’s just the same physically as she was when she was 79 but age suddenly seems to be bothering her & I’m not sure how to reassure her that all’s well.
Daughter J came over at lunch time & helped me in the garden, we raked the dead leaves out of the wildlife pond & it would appear one of the critters hitched a ride up my trouser leg & bit me several times up the back if my leg, doh!
