Daffs At The Docks

We've been to Gloucester docks today to meet up with our friend M for lunch. Mrsfb & I both had chicken schnitzel, very nice it was too.

The journey through the A417 'missing link' roadworks was a bit tedious, though Google maps saved us quite a bit of time. We are having a camera club outing there in June. That should be interesting. There is an amazing amount of landscape reshaping and construction going on. It's not going to be completed until 2027. I can't help but think the Victorians would have finished it by now.

Queen Boadicea II in the extra, resting up until the summer canal trips I guess. She played her part in the Second World War as one of the Dunkirk Little Ships. She saw action in Dunkirk harbour where she evacuated many stranded soldiers.
