Bulahdelah
Bulahdelah used to be known as a steep stretch of the Pacific Highway which proved too much for older cars, leaving them on the roadside with radiators boiling. Nowadays it’s a peaceful spot beside the Myall River, which is full and brown from the recent floods. The boat is one of the houseboats you can hire to potter around the Myall Lakes.
I wanted to get Bulahdelah into a blip because the name sounds so gorgeous. It means ‘meeting place of two rivers'. The other river is the Crawford.
