Five hours of highway
miles today - Arizona
to Nevada, yes!

We were up early and heard the first pass of the garbage truck at 6 for the recycling, then waited for the second pass for the refuse bin. Meanwhile, we completed all the tasks on the list before our departure. I am amazed how well my daughter can load my car!

The last bin was collected at 9:30, we locked the gates and were off to find some breakfast before getting on Highway 95 N.

I stopped on the shoulder of the highway to get a last photo of Yuma's tiny church.

We didn't stop again until we were just into the state of Nevada. There is a very deluxe rest stop, a convenient place an hour from our destination.

Our day's drive ended in Henderson, Nevada near Las Vegas for the night. Once checked in, we drove off to a nearby restaurant, a block from our hotel. It is a country-style restaurant with quaint decor and a home-cooking menu. I am always pleased to find fresh flowers, especially roses, on the table.

We're going to have a quiet evening with our laptops. I am weary!
