Man in a tree

3 of them arrived this morning to get to work. The first stage was getting all the ropes in place which must have taken some time but I was out. By my lunch time they'd removed the top 3rd of the 3rd tree from the right (see yesterday). The top had fallen off this m ore than 30 years ago and it had then grown 4 or 5 vertical branches so there was a lot to do. By the end of the day it was considerable lower, parts of an adjacent one had been removed and lots of side branches. They are back tomorrow (and probably all next week).
These trees have shed many branches over the years but actually posed no major danger - they're still there (for now) after numerous major storms.
Cafe wasn't on this morning so I took advantage of the lovely (but chilly) morning to cycle to and from the Health Walk and we had a good number of walkers.
In the afternoon I was doing more house moving. I collected a load of boxes and my friend and took them along to a storage unit where they, and many more - but not the friend1 - will stay while she has a chance to sort through things and find homes for things. Then up to the old house to collect some things that are currently needed.
I had wondered about running training this evening but it was too late to get prepared by the time I got in.
