Cornice

The guesthouse I typically use in Masasi is undergoing a deterioration. Questionable electrics, flashing lights which are sometimes blue, power cuts and dangling plasterwork.

This piece of cornice in the bathroom was hovering over my head like the Sword of Damocles. From my seated position on the toilet I wondered how painful it would be if it fell. If I go offline for a while it’s because I’ve been garrotted by a wayward cornice.
