Living my dream

Bean and my shadow

Happy autumn / spring equinox everybody. At 10.01 tonight we tip over into the darker half of the year again. It has come round too fast.

The accidental nap yesterday gave me extra energy today and I've been almost nonstop. The sunshine has also spurred me on.

The morning's work in G's garden was mostly weeding the kids' enormous sandpit, which is in the middle of the lawn and was being invaded by all sorts of grasses, daisies, dandelions and clover. The difference once I'd finished was very satisfying.

At home I watered various beds, picked various crops and mowed most of the short grass. I ran out of puff at 5 o'clock and hightailed it indoors for a cooling shower.

Two boxes of surplus veg are ready to take to the Food Bank in the morning, and I have filled my fridge with containers of salads to last the next few days.

Bean has been fed, watered and walked. Here she is cooling off in the creek towards the end of our walk. I was watching her from the bridge.

Another good day.

Thank you for your comments and thoughts yesterday. My apologies for not replying: I've been too busy to look at Blip today.

I have just listened to this New York Times podcast which supports and expands on much of what Blippers said yesterday. A Constitutional crisis looks likely... god help the USA.
