Galanthus elwesii "Polar Bear"
One of our weekly coffee, cake and garden centre for a blip trips. This time Dobbies at Orton Grange. Wandering round looking for something different I spotted the Snowdrops. Somebody is thinking"there's nothing different about Snowdrops, aren't they all over by now".
Well two things were different. Firstly Polar Bear seems to be a late flowering variety as they were still in full perfect bloom. The other thing was the display. Some of the pots were placed so high you could get a good view underneath the flower without having to roll about on the ground trying to get low enough.
