Hooray
This delightful little narcissus appeared in our garden a couple of years ago. It's about two inches high and is a multi headed variety. I've no idea where it came from, and I'v7e never seen it anywhere else. I made a mental note at the time to look out for it and move it if necessary, then to my sadness it didn't appear last year and I thought I'd lost it. It must have been having a rest as here it is, with more heads than before. I shall nurture it carefully.
Today was busy. I was up just after 7 and dropped the girls at school not long after 8. Eilidh as P7 hung about with her friends in the playground. Isobel, as P5, to her disgust has to go to breakfast club (mum backed me up on this so I'm glad I insisted).
Back home andI had some breakfast then went to the rectory to pick up the mail and do a security check. The midweek service was at 10.30, we had 15 people there, which is a good number.
After church I headed to Penicuik to the kitchen suppliers to return the door sample I'd borrowed last week. Back again to church after that to meet with a sound engineer - I stopped at Tesco and picked up a meal deal which I ate in the sun sitting on our church memorial bench, very pleasant for mid March.
I finally got home again about 3.30. Phew.
We've a quiet evening, so I'm off for an early night. A funeral tomorrow, our oldest congregation member who was 100 in. December. Not a happy occasion but one for remembering a long life well lived.
