A friend and I parked our cars, walked to here, and then over Old Mc Donald’s Hill, to the confluence of the Shotover River; a fair hike on a fairly hot day.
There were many shady trees, which was a blessing.
People had been building some incredible inventive driftwood log cabins along; impressive.

Nearly a frost here this morning, but a stiff one nearby plus one at the eastern end of the Gibbston Valley. Autumn’s getting much closer and it’s dark in the mornings.
