Wood boat building at Mandvi

We would never have imagined that the boats would be so large and built with the simplest of means. Almost as centuries ago. We were lucky and were allowed to see the boat, which is currently under construction, from the inside. Behind the two cars parked on the left is a wooden ladder and currently the only entrance for equipment and people. Inside, the size of the  oat and the wooden trunks is once again clear (see extra). The owner of this shipyard told us that the boat has now been under construction for three years and is expected to be completed in another three years. Boats of this type are used in the Indian-Arab-Asian region, but are not authorised for use in Europe or America. The crew consists of about 25 people, the luxury is minimal and if you want to know what the toilet of such a boat looks like: it is the box in the second extra.
