Metal Manatees and Manatee Memorial

We had a hospital sort of day. Sister-in-law Joy was having surgery, so Lisa and I joined my brother Jim and their friend Sandy to offer our support. We were there at 7 a.m. and stayed until 4 p.m. A long day of waiting.

I am pleased to report that the surgery went well, and that the doctor was pleased. She will have a lengthy recovery, but we were all encouraged on how things went.

While waiting, I took a walk along the big Manatee River where i spotted the mama and baby manatees with the fancy yachts in the background.

Very grateful. It was an emotional couple of days, especially for my brother.
